For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled?NOT SURE So here's my story. My computer's hard drive died last week so I threw that one out and installed a new one. I updated everything and it is working perfectly. The only thing is that I can't download from p2p's anymore. With limewire, I have 5 bars appearing but a firewall symbol appearing too. Norton is set to allow limewire as is Windows Firewall. Before my computer crashed I was able to dowload normally so I don't think that it's a hardware issue. Please help me...I feel like such a looser not being able to download. It's my life. Thanks, Pat. |
Generally Norton & XP firewall clash with each other. Choose one or the other & disable the other one. It is known that running both Norton & XP firewalls results in LESS security, not more. All firewall companies will tell you to only run one at a time. Windows also used to have a page that explained this but they decided to remove that page from their website. |
