i hope someone can help (can't find limewire folder)
 

I have tried everything I can find on this site to make my Limewire work (again), but I continually receive the same error message "your save folder is not valid." I have searched for the .limewire file, but it doesn't exist, even in my hidden folders. I have a .NetworkShare folder, but it contains the application and LimewirePackedJars.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I even tried hauling the old version (4.9something...) out of the recycle bin :bangh:. I am running Java JRE 1.6.0_01, which is supposedly up to date.

Please help! I have used Limewire successfully and happily for several years - I don't know what happened.:(

In the older versions of limewire the preference folder is called the .limewire folder...
In the newer versions it is called the LimeWire Folder and it is hidden...

If deleting the preference folder still doesn't fix your problem
I noticed that you are running Java 6.1, there have been a few members that have had trouble with this update...
Uninstall your Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version....(4th one down)
