firewall off - still cant connect
 
I have turned XP and Norton firewalls off but still can't connect, followed some links on other help for PlusNet users but not exactly computer literate, please help.

1. OS version? windows XP
2. What firewalls you have? Norton
3. ram?
4. HDD space available?
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) wireless
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?
7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)? home laptop
8. What version of Limewire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) 4.12.11
9. Have you used LW successfully before or is this the 1st time? yes, sunday was fine but monday and today no luck
10. Who is your ISP provider? plus net

This worked "your test worked!" but i still cant get connected one lw even if i type this number in manual port??

Ive looked at those pages but nothing seems to work

anyone any ideas?

Did You phone your ISP Plusnet. ?

6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers ?

8. What version Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) ? Its listed there

Java is 1.5.0_06

Where do i find modem info??

I havent phoned no, what should i say? That i can't download because of firewall?

no worries, things sorted themselves out, after i turned off main computer.

Should i be worried about PlusNet as my ISP even though i can get connected now?
