For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? i dont know |
A couple of different things we can try here... Firstly... Try uninstalling your Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version....(4th one down) Java SE Downloads - Previous Release - JDK 5 No luck...Try deleting your preference folder... Fixes for Limewire when LW isn't operating as it should Still no luck...Could you have a look at the modem/router (the one that connects you to the internet) turn it upside down and see what it's name is and the model number...;) Also with your test page not working can mean that your ISP is shaping your connection now...CableVision/Metrocast are known to do that... |
Thanks Thanks for the help. I'll try tonight and post the results. Tomorrow you will know if that worked:xeri_ok1ani: |
I tryed everithing but still no connection Quote:
Modem Motorola Surfboard SBG900i |
Your modem/router doesn't have a Nat Firewall, so that's not causing the conflict... Do you have this update from Micorsoft... Microsoft's Security Update (KB931261) for WinXP...You can check in your add/remove programs.. Do you mind if I ask where you are from, so I can check your ISP out ?? |
Not at all Thanks I've tryed everything posted and the Lime wire is not working yet.:shoot: About the security update i'll have to check I'm from mexico City, how can i check the ip? |
Cable Vision, Mexico shape p2p during peak times, so that would explain why you are not getting the connection.. Bad ISPs - AzureusWiki You could give them a ring and find out what their peak times are... |
I have the KB893803 |
About the cable vision i cant connect at any hour. If that is the problem i should be able to connect at some other time. but i cant |
What security do you use ?? Try these fixes as well... Right-click the Limewire icon and going to properties and change compatability setting to Windows 2000. (but only if you're using Windows 2000 or later.) Somebody reported changing to Windows NT compatibility fixed their problem despite not using that operating system version. Right-click on the Limewire icon on the desktop and click on Run as. Then it should come up showing the current user and then switch it over to Administrator. (but 'only' if you're the admin of your comp.!) |
