 Can you try this...Save your current limewire version's installer, save it to My Documents...That way you can re-install it after this if you want... Download the latest limewire basic, use the badge in my link to connect to the official site.... Does limewire connect ?? Do you have the brickwall showing ??? What Java is it using ??

| With some discussion, I still have no idea where the installer is for 4.8... So try these fixes... Try deleting your preference folder... Fixes for Limewire when LW isn't operating as it should Also Optimum Online are known to shape p2p usage..Lotr has some tips on changing port numbers in this thread... http://www.gnutellaforums.com/connec...-limewire.html

| This is what I have in my Limewire folder, can you make out some of this before I delete something I'm not suppose to. I tried to delete them but I was able to delete some and the others I could not. It said " CANNOT DELETE FILE: CANNOT READ FROM THE SOURCE FILE OR DISK" It's funny on my desktop I have 4.8 limewire icon, but when I load limewire it says 4.10 limewire. I need my limewire. I do not want to lose my settings. Please help. Thanks. |

| No what you are looking for is not in that folder... It will be called limewirewin.exe and have the icon of the lime..(I finally worked it out)...
