Firewalls!!!

Hi, I have alway's been able to use Limewire and have never had a problem until a few weeks ago. When I load Limewire, the connection status at the lower left corner say's "starting connection" It was like that for ages and I thought that I may have ran out of subscription, so I bought the limewire pro. It too does the same thing and has a globe behind a wall...so I investigated. Sygate has Limewire on allow but it also pops up and says it is being blocked! I can't seem to get it to allow and it is driving me insane! I also checked window's firewall, it is fine and all good. I tried deleting Limewire off Sygate and then re-allowing again, didn't work. Why all of a sudden is it doing this? It used to be fine!! HELP!

It appears that Norton has discontinued the Sygate products. (Discontinued in November 2005) So I really cant find much info on it. It may be malfunctioning, do they even support it with updates.

Any way if you cant find a way through the firewall I would uninstall it and find another firewall app.

Thanks grandpa. I have done that. Got rid of sygate. I even disabled windows firewall aswell and still no change. I have looked at the task manager also when I load limewire and there is no activity what so ever..I also have just uninstalled limewire (version 4.12.10) and re-installed it and it is doing the same thing. I just dont understand. It was working fine just a month or 2 ago. I have emailed the problem to limewire contact us and waiting for a response also but any other suggestions is welcome!

It's all good, I contacted the Limewire Tech team and it is all sorted. Had to uninstall all Java applications and Limewire, even in hidden files, then re-boot and then re-install Java JRE Windows offline and Limewire pro. It worked fine and I am up and running..thank you for you help
