"Starting connection" problem..!

Can anyone help?
I had the basic version of Limewire for 2 year's, had no problem up til a month ago, it just wouldn't connect, just kept saying connecting..Thought that I had ran out of subscription or something so yesterday I bought the Limewire Pro version 4.12.10. Says that it is behind a firewall and was "starting connection", waited waited, nothing happened. Disabled firewall, tried again, nothing. Uninstalled Limewire and re-installed it, still nothing. Have had the task manager up whilst trying to load and run limewire and absolutely nothing comes up, no activity..except 2 little tiny bumps and that is it...have gone to listening port and tried what it says in faq about doing tcp/udp putting the listening port in for incoming and outgoing..still nothing..(put it back to what it was after)

14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled?upnp was not enabled, tried that also and have it enabled now. As for port forwarding, no idea..it is set up as per normal through AAPT. Again, LW used to work up til a month ago...nothing has changed except for using skype which I have disabled.

Here are instructions for port-forwarding, if you want to give that a try:

Good Luck :D

My isp provider won't help out with the port forwarding idea. Apparently it will mess up the modem/router and have to set up broadband over again. They seem to think that it is Limewire that has the problem as it was working fine a month ago...geezzz1 I can't win! Anyone got any other idea's??
