Bearsy80 Hi.

6 ethernet/usb adsl modem router, What brand & model No's ?

8 What version of java ?
(Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...)Will show both LW & Java version.

Try switching to Manual Port forward using port numbers between 45000 To 65000
Both Manual Port forward No, & listening port should be set at the same number
In LimeWire, GO to Tools/Options/Advanced/Firewall Config & use Manual Port forward.

bearsy80 Hi.

Now! Go to,
START/Set Program Access/Change or Remove Programs,
now completely remove all versions of java.
Re BOOT Your computer NOW.

Now! Use this Link to get (jre-1.5.12) Use the off line installer, NOT the (recommended) one,
Java SE Downloads - Previous Release - JDK 5
When Download is completed.
Disconnect from internet, close ALL apps n reinstall java.

there's only 2 listed there so im thinking its this one as you said adsl.
Click on Blue Link to port_forward your modem/router & dont forget to create a static IP
PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall
OK friend

Hi
Explore the CD, that came with it,(Don't run it) there must be a set up page on
something, a read me, or PDF doc have a look.
or try searching Google.

I dont really think that the problem is with the modem. Before i downloaded pro i was running the previous version that was free and i never had any problems with it.

Thankyou for all your help but i think its time to realise this just wont work and i am wasting your time and mine.

Thankyou for all your help

Hi bearsy,

Before you give up, just try these things;)

In LW go tools > options > advanced > firewall config. Now change LW's listening port to 64049 > apply > ok.

If that doesn't help, delete LW's preferences folder when LW's properly closed. See point 3 here & also point 2 if you've used older versions of LW in the past (there could be a folder in either location).
Fixes for LimeWire
This will kill all of your settings within options, you'll have to go back through afterwards & reset things. If you're not sure of your settings, go through LW's tools > options & write them all down, so that you can reset things later.

Last thing to try:): Reinstall this Java version. Use the JRE offline installer & remove your current Java version before you install this one.
