Hi,
Don't usually ask for help in forums but this one has me stumped. Have seen lots of postings for "unable to connect", I can connect but my DSL modem drops the connection after a few moments, then I have go on IE and reconnect.
I have a westell 327w modem, xp os, on verizon DSL, verizon says there is something wrong with my modem. I don't drop my internet connection until I start up limewire( 4.12.11), all settings as to security and firewall seem to be where they should. Anybody able to point me in the right direction??????? Thanks

The Westell 327w seems to be a bit of a lemon. It's the same one I have though mine works fairly well. There's a long thread about it in this forum: broadband help » Forums » Equipment Support » Westell » westell versalink 327w disconnect issues.

It won't hurt to try the fixes in this thread: Fixes for Limewire when LW isn't operating as it should!

Didnt realize so many people same problem. I was told by Verizon that I was lucky to get the 327!
