Check your monthly bandwidth tally. See Orange here ::. Kitz - ISP Caps, FUPs and Prices .:: I have heard of some issues with Wanadoo before.

Quote: Max has 30GB FUP and heavy downloading discouraged during peak. Users reported being disconnected after 40GB

FUP = Fair Usage Policy. This is not a hard cap, but may allow the user some flexibility either by allowing off peak downloading, uploads not included in figures, or the flexibility to go over these caps on occasion, or a mix of any or all of these exceptions. Some FUPs are harsher than others and may in fact be a strict cap.

This may not be your problem but just pointing this out. Another member will probably be along to help you.

Hi thanks, for that :-)

I don't think that's the problem here, I can run LW on the laptop and connect and upload/download fine using the same account, whereas LW on the desktop just won't connect at all. It seems to be blocked by a firewall (it's saying it detects one anyway) even when I shutdown all the firewalls I have, it makes no difference.

I've run both the laptop and desktop LW's at the same time (could do that before no probs) and LW on the laptop still works great - I have run it today to look at the settings on there to see if it helps with my firewall problem, but I still can't get the desktop one to connect
