Connection Problem.
 
Hi guys. Been using LW for years and a couple of months ago decided to die!

Here's my info:

1. Win XP
2. Trend Micro Firewall
3. 40 Gig
4. HEaps!
5. BB
6. Modem : Speedtouch 530
7. House
8. LW 4.8.1 / Java Unknown, but it had been updated
9. Bigpond
10. Mt test worked.
11. NO
12. New Problem
13. No bricks.

I'm interested to see hwy its not working. :bangh:

Open LW and go to Help>About LW and it'll show what java your using. Then post it please ;).

You might want to update your LW and java. They're both outdated. If you want to save LW 4.8.1, just move the installer called LimeWireWin4.8.1.exe out of your program folder to someplace you can find it like your documents folder. That way you can always go back to it if you want.

For java try uninstalling your current version of java from the add/remove programs and then d/load and install Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 12(use the offline installer): Java SE Downloads - Previous Release - JDK 5

You might also need to portforward your router. Instructions here: Port Forwarding for the Thomson/Alcatel SpeedTouch 530
