Exclamation ALWAYS one bar of connection

hey i always have one bar of connection and it tells me it is still connecting even though nothing is happening.
ive checked all ure ideas in the sticky pls help

1. OS version? WIN XP
2. What firewalls you have? zonealarm enable, windows disabled
3. How much ram? 256 Mb
4. Hard Disk space available? 30 Gb
5. Connection type? CABLE 100mbps
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? MOTOROLA SBG900
7. Where are you trying to connect from HOME
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? LW 4.12.11 JAVA 1.6.0_01
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? TELSTRA BIGPOND
10. Do this simple test for us. I DID IT IT WORKED
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? NO I AM NOT
12. this a new problem with an experienced user.
13. Do you see a brick wall YES I DO but i have given LW full access in zonealarm
14. UPnP enabled
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? zonealarm firewall. symantec antivirus corporate edition
16. What country are you living in? australia

Have you tried the previous version of Java?

i need help for my limewire... anybody pls... these are my details

1. OS version? WIN XP SP 2
2. What firewalls you have? windows firewall, i don't know if NOD32 has a built-in firewall
3. How much ram? 1gb
4. Hard Disk space available? 66.6GB
5. Connection type? DSL
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Zyxel P-600 series
7. Where are you trying to connect from HOME
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? LW 4.12.11 JAVA 1.6.0_01-b06
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? PLDT DSL
10. Do this simple test for us. - test worked!
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? NO I AM NOT
12. this a new problem with an experienced user.
13. Do you see a brick wall YES I DO but i already unblock LW in windows firewall, in NOD32 - LW is set to higher compatibility
14. UPnP enabled
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? NOD32, Ad-Aware
16. What country are you living in? Philippines


I would greatly appreciate your help... I really need to get my LW working... pls...

7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)? house
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. limewire version-4.12.11 (pro), Java- 1.6
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? myclearwave, midwest wireless
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? I get a this page cannot be displayed error message
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. my dad has the boardband linksys system and i just use his wireless connection. My computer is the only one with limewire installed and running.
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. i used it before, but my computer had a problem with the internet explorer number 7 download so i brought it in to be fixed, now i got my computer back and this is the first time i have had trouble connecting
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? yes i do

14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled?
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? Some people might not be aware that their security suite includes a firewall i have nortan antivirus, but i checked and limewire is okay to pass though.
16. What country are you living in? Sometimes there are ISPs with the same name in more than one country (eg Clearwire in the USA & also in Ireland). Minnesota, USA

kmwalstrom Hi

Try switching to Manual Port forward using port numbers between 45000 To 65000
Both Manual Port forward No, & listening port should be set at the same number
In LimeWire, GO to Tools/Options/Advanced/Firewall Config & use Manual Port forward.

If you are using a router to connect, that will also need configuring.
Find your router listed here, Use this blue link. & dont forget to create a static IP first, & click apply after changing each setting.
