Try switching LW's ports to a higher port. Tools>Options>Advanced>Firewalls. Try one between 49152 - 65535 (a good one to try is 64049.) Set it to manual port forward to do this. *Whichever port you try, you will also need to make that port available in your XP firewall. So also add that port number per se to XP's firewall.

I've tried several different combinations and I am still not connecting. It will only show one green bar.

Now I've tried uninstalling it, and reinstalling it. While it is installing, a window comes up saying "Error opening file for writing". The file is C:/ProgramFiles/LimeWire/GenericWindowsUtils.dll everytime that I've tried reinstalling the program, hoping it would fix my connection problems, I've hit ignore..what should I do??
