Wondering Why: I was was not able to follow up on your kind offer to help me with the necessary steps required to get my LW back. Because........I tried to uninstall/reinstall LW, and my Add/Remove only uninstalled half of 4.8... but what was left on my computer was enough to NOT allow a re-install of LW. A window came up saying.....report this situation by emailing to "bug@limewire", but that is no longer a vaible address. :(

The good news is my computer got all screwed up somehow when I left it in "sleep" mode overnight recently, so the manufacturer helped get things back to normal beautifully. I asked him about my LW uninstall failure. It took him 30 minutes to accomplish some sort of manual technique to rid me of LW 4.8, and re-install 4.12, but now all is, once more, "right with the world", vis-a-vis my LW connection issue. :)

I wish I could tell you all here what steps were the "Magic" steps, but he took remote control of my computer, and all I could do was watch my cursor travel around my screen at a hyped-up Ouija Board pace, so I couldn't follow his antics in a constructive way.

So....thanks again for your offer of help. I didn't want you think I had lost interest in you prowess. You all do a great service here...Later
