You need to tell us what firewalls you're using, who your ISP is & the brand & model of your modem &/or router;)

Try this version of Java. Use the JRE offline installer & remove your current Java version before you install the new one.
Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11

You say that you're using LW 4.2.6...is that a typo? Do you mean 4.12.6? Just checking:)

AO firewalls? How about disabling them & using XP firewall instead & configure it to allow LW full access. Did you configure your firewall so it allows LW full access (advisable not to have 2 active firewalls b/c they can interfere with each other); Firewall configuration instructions (click on link)

Beware of AOL security. It has a spyware utility that thinks P2P programs are spyware & will either remove them or remove parts of the program & result in it not working properly. Put LW on its safe list or else, use a safe one like Spybot - Search & Destroy (FREE)

You apparently like to double-post which is against the forum rules. Also, somebody did reply to your post. I have merged all your posts here. :)
