Just Reformatted having trouble configuring

I recently reformatted my comp as i do on a regular basis and this is the first time I have had any issue having Limewire function properly. I have tried configuring the firewall and have gone so far as to turn the firewall off completely but for some reason I am receiving zero connectivity. If anyone can offer some assistant I would greatly appreciate it.

Below are my settings:

1. OS version? WINDOWS XP PRO
2. What firewalls you have? COMODO FIREWALL PRO
3. How much ram? 1024
4. Hard Disk space available? 87.4 GB
5. Connection type? Cable
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Linksys BEFCMU10
7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)? HOUSE
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? LW 4.12.14 / JAVA 1.6.0_01
9. Who is your ISP? TIME WARNER
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? "YOUR TEST WORKED!"
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? NO
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user? New Problem, but experienced user.
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? Yes
14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled?
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? Some people might not be aware that their security suite includes a firewall :). I am using AVG 7.5 Free Edition
16. What country are you living in? Sometimes there are ISPs with the same name in more than one country (eg Clearwire in the USA & also in Ireland). USA

Try uninstalling your current version of java while LW is completely shut down. Go to the add/remove programs control panel and uninstall your current version of java. Now download and install J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 11(use the offline installer): Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11

If that fails try deleting LW's preference folder with LW completely shut down. See point 3 in this thread: Fixes for Limewire. This will reset all your option settings, so make a note of them first.

Ive tried all these options. Is there anyone else that has been having this problem that has found a fix. I dont know why for some reason I can deactivate every security option on my PC and I still get a firewall detected. I dont understand this.

Forget it. Ive tried everything I can for the past couple days. Nothing has worked. Ive tried all kinds of combinations of installing JRE and LW and configuring my firewall in all kinds of different ways. I am going to Bearshare which is working perfectly fine at the present time.

Try port forwarding your router. There're instructions here: PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall. I couldn't find your exact router but it should be similar to the ones listed.

Its not a router. Its a regular cable modem going directly to my machine.

Try mickjapa108's suggestion in this post: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/275916-post2.html

I tried using the manual port forwarding and that didnt work either.

I have to honestly believe that somehow someway some of the ISP's came together and either banned this program or Windows must have released some sort of block. It makes no sense that there would be over many many calls in just the past 2 days alone all on this same subject where Limewire was once working and now all of a sudden its not. It would also make no sense that some people who have approached every avenue to try and troubleshoot this issue yet nothing works. Like i said in a prior post bearshare seems to be working for now and thats what I will apparently have to deal with until the next better P2P program comes out.
