Ahhhh now its not connecting

Hello,
I've been using limewire for a while now but over the last few months the connection started to get slower and slower, not it wont connect at all. I've removed my old version of limewire and Java and reinstalled the latest versions but still t wont connect. I've even got the world/wall image on the limewire scree. Any ideas before I launch my laptop through the window.

Cheers all

Lozuk Hi.

How to use Manual Port forward

Universal Plug and Play may not be working properly Due to this update. "Security Update for Windows XP (KB931261)"
Removing this update is not Recommended & could make your computer vulnerable to attack.
For more info on this update, click on this blue link.
Microsoft Security Bulletin MS07-019: Vulnerability in Universal Plug and Play Could Allow Remote Code Execution (931261)

If this update is installed on your computer & UPnP is in use by Limewire,
Try switching to Manual Port forward using port numbers between 45000 To 65000
Both Manual Port forward No, & listening port should be set at the same number
In LimeWire, GO to Tools/Options/Advanced/Firewall Config & use Manual Port forward.

If you are using a router, or modem/router to connect, that will also need configuring.

Port Forwarding for the BT VOYAGER 2091 WIRELESS ADSL ROUTER
Click on This Blue Link, It will open on the page you need to Configure the BT VOYAGER
For use with limewire.
PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall

Port Forwarding for the Norton Internet Security 2007
If you feel that your Norton isn't configured properly with Limewire,
Click on this Blue link...it will help you Configure it.
Port Forwarding for the Norton Internet Security 2007

P.S... PIPEX are one of the ISP's that filter/block/shape & disrupt P2P trafic, so try outside peak times.

Your Servant,
Peace.
