Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network. (not about connecting to files, that is a Download/Upload Problems section issue.) Please supply system details as described in the forum rules.

Micro Trend Pc Chillin & Linksys Router (RT31P2)

5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.

7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)?

8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version.

9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)?

10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there?

I've never experienced a problem before with LM untill I reformated my drive and installed a new anti-virus program (Micro Trend PC Chillin) and updated my LM to the latest version. I've already tried disabling my firewalls with no luck. LM remains in "starting connection" status, never changing. It cant be my router because LM was working through it before with no issues. I beleive it has to do with the new anti virus but I've done everything I found to do online. My anti virus program is allowing LM and I've even added in the exact ports with no luck. ANY HELP here would be greatly appreciated.
