Default Starting Connection... for toooooo long

I have spent literally dozens of hours on this issue Here is my info:
1. OS version? Windows XP Home SP2
2. What firewalls you have? Windows (disabled) Router (disabled)
3. How much ram? 512 MB
4. Hard Disk space available? 65 GB
5. Connection type? Cable (Wireless)
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Linksys WRT54G
7. Where are you trying to connect from? HOME
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? LW v. 4.12.15 PRO Java 1.5.0_11
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? Mediacom
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? Test WORKED!
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? Yes, Wireless connection of 4 computers. One of which can run Limewire perfectly fine.
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. Experienced User
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? Yes But I have absolutely no idea why

14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? UPnP enabled!
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? Some people might not be aware that their security suite includes a firewall Just did fresh install of windows... no security programs installed.
16. What country are you living in? Sometimes there are ISPs with the same name in more than one country (eg Clearwire in the USA & also in Ireland). USA!

I have tried everything. I disabled Router and Windows Firewall completely. Uninstall/Reinstall, deleted preferences folder, tried the beta version, tried crazy proxy settings, Forced port #s, UPnP selection, Allowed IP and ports on router and applied according settings to Limewire.... still nothing. And my GF's Laptop works fine on the same network. With the same settings. What's the Dilly-Yoh?

wondering why is just really nice
Default

Try these tips...
Right-click the Limewire icon and going to properties and change compatability setting to Windows 2000. (but only if you're using Windows 2000 or later.) Somebody reported changing to Windows NT compatibility fixed their problem despite not using that operating system version.

Right-click on the Limewire icon on the desktop and click on Run as. Then it should come up showing the current user and then switch it over to Administrator. (but 'only' if you're the admin of your comp.!)

Go to your connections Tab in limewire, if it's not showing up go to Veiw > Show/Hide and make sure the connection tab has a tick next to it...
Then click on the Hosts and remove them and let Limewire search for some more...
