![]() taylor23, Don't use Windows & Norton firewalls together. Configure the Norton firewall to allow LW & disable the XP firewall ![]() What version of Java are you using? Some people have had connection problems with Java versions 1.6.0_01 & 1.6.0_02. Try this version instead. Use the JRE offline installer & remove your current Java version(s) before you install this one. Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11 If that's no help, you could download the latest version of LW (4.14.0) & see whether that will connect. Use the offline installer. When you click to download LW & a download box pops up, cancel that. Now you'll see the option to download the offline installer. If you don't have the 4.9.33 installer saved, you'll lose that version if you install another version of LW. If you're still stuck, have a look at your modem & find it's brand & model number (look underneath as well). lynlord56, Sorry but I'm not a Mac user. Hopefully the thread below will help you with the OSX firewall. Mac OSX 10.4 Tiger Firewall instructions And this one for finding your preferences & LW's listening port. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/276212-post2.html If not, use the forum search to look through older threads.
