connection problem

Have had limewire, which worked up until I installed wireless cable modem and set up new network at home. Downloaded limewire pro, still having same problem ("starting connetion" with only 1 bar indefinitely). Suspect it is problem with modem firewall, but unable to correct.

1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98) - windows XP
2. What firewalls you have? Windows, trend micro
3. How much ram? 2.0GHz, 1.24gb
4. Hard Disk space available? plenty
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) cable
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Motorola sbg900 surfboard
7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)? home
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. Pro 4.14.1, J2SE 5.0 update 10
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? comcast
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? unable to display page
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. one wireless labtop running vista on network through same modem
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. had lw in past was working until setup new connection as described above.
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? Yes
14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? enabled
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? trend and spysweeper (installed prior to problem, no recent changes)
16. What country are you living in? Sometimes there are ISPs with the same name in more than one country (eg Clearwire in the USA & also in Ireland). US

It's not your modem/router as most of the surfboard models don't have the Nat Firewall...

So try these fixes and see how you go...
Try uninstalling all versions of Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version....
Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11

If that does not help with your problem try deleting your preference folder/s...
