connection problem

hi, i am using windows xp on a wireless connection. i have installed the latest version of mcafee security aswell. my problem is that i can only get one bar of connection when connecting to limewire:bangh:. i have tried disabling both my windows firewall and my mcafee firewall at seperate times but with no affect:(. please help.
