Firewall Issues

Hi

I keep getting an error saying "Your machine does not appear to have an active Internet connection or a firewall is blocking Limewire from accessing the internet. LimeWire will automatically keep trying to connect you to the network unless you select Disconnect from the File menu."
Its pretty obvious that I have an internet connection since I will be able to submit this post
I have tried to figure out the firewall problem but nothing I do seems to work. I have re-installed limewire a couple of times, I re-installed my antivirus software, I turned my windows firewall off. Nothing seems to be working.

Limewire works perfectly fine on my laptop but on my desktop (The system I am currently using) I seem to have this issue.

Does anybody have a solution?

Try these fixes and se how you go...

Try uninstalling all versions of Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version....
Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11

If that does not help with your problem try deleting your preference folder/s...
