No connection to LimeWire

Recently I installed LimeWire on my computer. When I start it only the first of the five colums becomes green. Here is the information you ask for. Hope you can help me.

1. OS version: Windows Xp
2. Firewall: ZoneAlarm
3. Ram: 512MB
4. Hard Disk space available: Yes 100MB
5. Connection type: broadband
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers: Davolink 2020
7. Connect from: house
8. Version of LimeWire (LW) & Java: LimeWire 4.8.1; Java 1.6.0_02
9. My ISP: Versatel/Tele2
10. Simple test: Says: Your test worked
11. Sharing the connection: No
12. st try at LW: First
13. Brick wall: No
14. Port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? No
15. Security programs: SpywareguardGuard, Avast, SpywareBlaster
16. Country I'm living in: Netherlands

Pretty old LW version you're trying to run....

So my first advice would be:

If you still have installer .exe of your old LW version, save it onto your desktop.

Go START>Program>LimeWIre>Uninstall and remove the old LW version.

Then Go START>Search for Files and Folders> and type (without apostrophes) " .limewire " (yep, that point must be in front of the word) and locate this folder. When you have found it, delete it.

Then go to : Lime Wire » Official Website & Free Download, BitTorrent « and download the newest basic version of LW for free. Download the offline installer of that version.

Then install it and restart your computer.....

Sometimes live can be that simple!! I installed version 4.14.7.0 and it worked rightaway.
