Help!! Problem Searching and speed... (red connection bars)

I have been using Limewire for about a year now and recently i have found that when i download, its downlaoding at 5kb's.. Very slow.. and so i thought that if uninstall Limewire then re install, it would speed back up again.. ( the speed bars are in the red... should be blue apparently)

but not only did that not work, now i cant search anything.. I type in what I want to search for and nothing comes up.. I have tried several different things to search for and nothing.. just a blank page.. I can see it searching but not a thing comes up at all??

I have solved the problem of the 'searching' issue.. I am unsure how i did it, but its working again..lo...

Now i just dont know why its still running so darn slowly.. 5KB's.. there must a way to get the speed up without having to 'go PRO"?
