New Computer - can't login to Member area
 
I changed computers and e-mail addresses and now I can't login to the Members area, message says my e-mail address isn't valid. ????

Just type in your old email address (the one that you used to buy Pro);)

Providing that you bought Pro less than 6 months ago, that should do the trick! If you bought Pro more than 6 months ago, you won't be entitled to updates or email support anyway:)

If you still have no joy, post back & let us know when you bought Pro & whether or not you paid Limewire LLC for your Pro version (it'll be on your CC statement).

Thanks, it was over a year ago that I bought the original version. I did indeed pay Limewire for the Pro version, and I don't expect a free upgrade. But the problem is that I don't have the original billing statement, since I've switched computers and ISP providers. And the old e-mail account that I used when I bought the software is gone with the old ISP.

I'm a bit confused...the only things you need an email address for are if you want email support for a current LW Pro & or you've lost the link to your personal download page & need to download the latest Pro installer. Via this page on the LW site.

Since LW have only just introduced the option to buy Pro for a year & you bought Pro a year ago, you're not entitled to either an update or email support :confused:

There's no members area on the LW site. Which site has the members area that you're trying to log into???

Now I'm confused! I'm not asking for either an upgrade or e-mail support. I'm just asking for the access to my account. When I changed computers I lost the original downloaded Pro file, and since I changed ISP's I no longer have the same e-mail address that it asks me to login with. I just want the original program that I purchased, no upgrade, no update and no support.

There are no accounts to access if you bought LW from the official site.

Sounds like you might've originally been scammed when you bought LW. You might've been directed to the official site for download of LW (lots of scammers do that)...but who did you actually pay for LW?? How much did it cost?? Did you pay for a certain length of 'membership' (1 year, lifetime etc)??
