..still having problems with the connection...
 
1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98) XP
2. What firewalls you have? Zonealarm
3. How much ram? 256 mb
4. Hard Disk space available? about 50 GB
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) wireles broadband
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Linksys Wireles Router
7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)? Home
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. 4.14.8
9. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider)?
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? site cannot be found.. didn't work at all..
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. no
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. I'm experienced.. I've used it for about 2 years, and this is the first time I've EVER had problems with it..
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? yes

What is the model number for your Linksys router ??
Who do you pay to get your internet connection ie.ISP ??
Also what Java version do you have...

My linksys router is WRT54G, and I have the latest version of Java... My ISP is Telenor, a Norwegian ISP that I have been loyal to for several years..

Try Port Forwarding as your router has a Nat Firewall within...

I FINALLY got Limewire to work:D DAAAAMN..... It took me about a month to get it to work again, and today, suddenly it started to work..:D I don't know how, but who cares..:P It works..;) Thanks for all the good help I've got here..:D <3<3<3

well, all I did was to wait a month and then the connection was back on track again.. just like nothing happened... it was kinda magic..:) more scary than magic, but...:P who cares...:P
