Limewire Causes my Internet Connection to Drop

I have the latest version of Limewire and it connects and downloads at great speeds, but when I'm about halfway through the Download, my internet connection drops on all of my connections for a few seconds and then has to reconnect. All of the connections connected to my router lose connection for a few seconds. I have a Linksys BEFSR41 v.4.1 router. Please help

BTW -
Feature History page hasn't been updated in a while.
