OK, I have been using LW for several months and it had worked fine, but then I uninstaled it. Now Im trying to use it agen, the download is fine but when I try to open LW it gets to 12% and is looking for a HTML file then stops, and leavs a blank scren where the load scren was. This can only be taken down by restarting the PC.

Yea, I had this exact same problem, I posted a thread about it to. So far I was told to try deleting the preferences folder (which I did) but I havent got around to installing limewire again, Im getting a little tired of uninstalling it and reinstalling it or restarting my laptop because the damn thing freezes...then if that doesnt work try deleting the Java application and re-downloading it, which i have no desire to do, by the time i do that, the download will go wrong and then my java wont work or something stupid. So I would also like to see what everyone has to say about this.

cazygamar...Just because the fix didn't work for you doesn't mean it isn't going to work for others, I'd say that there would be 100's of people that can vouch for that....

TylerU17 try these fixes, they do work if they have been done correctly...
Try uninstalling all versions of Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version....
Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11

If that does not help with your problem try deleting your preference folder/s...

Ok first off, I never said they didnt work for me, actually I did it last night and it did work. I deleted my preferences folder exactly like you said and that worked 100% perefectly. What I did say was that I was worried about deleting me Java apllication because i didnt know if something would go wrong once I did that. Thanks for your help though, everything is good now.
