limewire was unable to initialize and start
 
i get that message everytime i click on limewire 4.14.8....I have windows firewall and limewire is an exception..i also tried updating the java program and also tried re-downloading lm several times...it just won't work......it used to work before i updated to that new version. maybe i should have never updated! please help

Try these fixes...
Try uninstalling all versions of Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version....
Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11

If that does not help with your problem try deleting your preference folder/s...

none of these fixes work! help! i still get the same message
 
i tried ALL of them i have a windows xp

dell comput..
