limewire is annoying me
 

ive upgraded limewire to the newest version and removed the old version, now the old version still tries to open and connect and comes up with an error message every few minutes and its anoying the **** out of me. does anyone know how to stop this

When upgrading, Limewire will automatically delete the older version. Did you try to delete the older version and how did you go about it? There is a correct and an incorrect way of doing this.

i deleted it before i upgraded because my comp was ****ing up. so i just got rid of everything off it t sort it out

OK... So you didn't mention how you tried to delete it. The correct way is to go to Start > All Programs > Limewire > Uninstall. The incorrect way to delete it is to go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.

Probably best to start all over. Uninstall the correct way. Then go to Start > Search > All Files/Folders > Type in limewire and delete everything it finds. Now install newer version.

i deleted it the incorrect way, ive searched for other parts of it and tried to delete them but it will not allow me to delete them

Reboot into safe mode & then try. If they still won't delete, try one of the tools here...
