I tried this and it would not let me delete that file.

help, i had limewire version 4.12.6 & when i logged on to limewire last night it AUTOMATICALLY started to download version 4.14.10 i don't know why or how but it did. i then tried to go about my business & it will not allow any connection to download, a window pops up & says, "go to file & hit connect etc, etc, etc" i tried that & the connect is already in use & when i exit limewire it will not exit, the icon goes away but a window with a bar (back & forth) says disconnecting & it will not. I have to turn off my computer to get it off the screen. I want version 4.12.6 does anybody know where i can download it, i tried many sites but it justs updates it to the newer version. Thank you

The forced updates are due to changes in the gnutella network. They want everybody to keep pace otherwise those with older versions have a negative impact on the gnutella network. Other gnutella programs are also upgrading.
Not much to complain about schroeder, it's a free program, & think of how much you have gained from it.
