Enabling Open Info Sharing Prob
 

:bangh:OK I downloaded Limewire and opened it to start a search and it only gave me "Enabling Open Info Sharing". It stopped. I know that are songs by this artist on the site, because I have LW at home and opened it up last night to download a song.

OK.. I give up,. I am using Java 6 Update 2 just to let you know.

So now what do I do?

Try uninstalling and deleting all versions of java from your Add or Remove Programs Control Panel. Then d/load and install Java Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 12, use the offline installer.

Also try deleting LW's preference folder with LW completely shut down. Instructions in this thread points 2 & 3(check both locations): Fixes for Limewire. This will reset all your option settings, so make a note of them first(if you can).
