Connecting to Gnutella through a proxy.

I live at my college which uses an extremely secure proxy disabling all p2p and p2s connections. I host my own socks5 proxy from home and connect to various blocked programs through it regularly. What I'm trying to do is use limewire with this proxy to connect to Gnutella. I tried using programs like freecap to start limewire directly through the proxy but can't. Is there any way i can set up a tunnel to my proxy to connect to it on Limewire's startup.
Note: I'm not trying to download files through my proxy, trying to connect on start up with it.

look through your options settings...buried somewhere is the ability to connect (and download) through a socks5 proxy
