Help Limewire wont start despite using all help from other threads!!!!!!
 

ive had limewire for over a year now but randomly whilst using it it just closed and since then it wont open. it shows the loading screen and gets to generally around 57% but then it just disappears with no trace of it ever having been open. I downloaded the latest java after uninstalling the version i had. i stopped my firewall from preventing anything from working and i reinstalled limewire. i also deleted the preference folder but still it will not opem!!! Can anyone help me?

me again. out of curiosity, once ive deleted the preference folder do i have to do anythin else e.g. reset it somehow. i have the latest version of limewire if that makes a difference?

No...You should just try and start LW up again...

Try rolling back to an older version of Java...
Try uninstalling all versions of Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version....

If you still have no luck try uninstalling Limewire using the uninstaller which is found in start > all programs > limewire...then re-install it using the offline installer...To find the offline installer, use the link below > cancel the installer window when it pop's up and then select the offline installer link...
