can't connect after re-install
 

Hi folks. I;m a new user. Happy to be in the forum.

I installed the latest upgrade to my LimeWire pro and it wouldn't connect. I uninstalled it and re-installed a previous version that wroed Tuesday this week. Still no connection. Tghe program starts but won't connect to the networ. I tried deleting and re-adding Limewire as an allowed program in my Norton Internet security and allowed port 6437. Still no connection,
MY ISP is Sympatico -- Bell Canada

My system is a PC clone P3 with lots of memory, no Windows firewall on.

Try deleting your preference folder/s...This will reset your configurations back to default and get rid of any corruption that may of happened...;)

Try installing PeerGuardian, it will help keep the fake hosts out...Remember to enable PG just before you start limewire up...;)
