12% HTML load issue

I'm new here, so please excuse any errors of location, lack of proper information.

When opening up my LimeWire application it loads up to 12% (Loading HTML Engine) and then drops to the background, and no longer shows in the task bar. I never had this problem until I believe I recently corrupted my registry. I checked some other boards and FAQ's and tried reinstalling LimeWire, which didn't help, I also reinstalled Java, which also did nothing. I'm thinking I should take this to a BestBuy and see if Geek Squad can/will do anything about it, but before I try them I want to try this board and see if anyone knows of this problem prior.

This seems to have recently become a problem for quite a few people. See the first fix in the link below. I also gave you a few other options to try if that doesn't help. I am also assuming you have Vista. This seems to be where the problem is.

Try these fixes if above is no help.

2. Try uninstalling all versions of Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version....

3. If that does not help with your problem try deleting your preference folder/s...
