One connection bar.

I have windows 98..and Limewire used to work perfectly fine on it. A few weeks ago, I had to like completely restore my computer or whatever because it wouldn't even start up. So I had to reinstall all of the programs and everything. And now Limewire won't connect. Everytime I try to search, it says "Limewire is currently connecting to the network. You search may not return many results until you are fully connected to the network." I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it several times but it still doesn't work. The first connection bar is the only one that is green. I don't know what happened? Is there something I need to download for it to work again?

Try these fixes...
Try uninstalling all versions of Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version....
Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11

If that does not help with your problem try deleting your preference folder/s...This will reset your configurations back to default and get rid of any corruption that may of happened...;)

Fixes for Limewire when LW isn't operating as it should

Your ISP is the company you pay to have the internet on...
Your modem/router is the little box that connects you to the internet, if you turn it upside down you will see the make and model number...
