Hi there, Limewire suggested if i would like to upgrade which I did and since then limewire doesnt connect. One one bar is green and others stays red. I have tried with switching off firewall both norton and windows but its still not working. I have java 2 installed, tried to download some thing like JRE offline version as suggested in the site but it doesnt download properly. The previous limewire was working just fine, can i revert back to that one? I am using windows XP. What do you think I need to do? Please help

Do you have the old installer saved? Yes, you can revert back to the older version if you want to!

Something you could try first, if you like, is delete LW's preferences folder when LW's properly closed. See point 3 here & also point 2 if you've used older versions of LW in the past (there could be a folder in either location).
Fixes for LimeWire
This will kill all of your settings within options, you'll have to go back through afterwards & reset things. If you're not sure of your settings, go through LW's tools > options & write them all down, so that you can reset things later.
In case you're using Vista: LimeWire Pref Folder in Vista

What's happening when you try to the older JRE version? Are you getting an error message? Have you tried using a different browser?

Hey, thanks for the prompt reply. I have removed all limewire files from the computer and then reinstalled. So I dont have older version anymore. Is there any other way to download the older version. And I dont get any erroe message when I try JRE.
Thanks.

I'd normally give you a link to a hosted version but I don't have my computer right now...try the link in Remoc's post here. There's not a complete list of versions, just see if the one you want's there;)
