No Connectivity Suggestion - 2 Since so many, including me, can't connect Limewire to Gnutella, and since we're not getting anywhere, it behooves LimeWire to either come up with a fix, or to verify the allegations that the ISP's are indeed "managing" (stifling) the program, as a Comcast spokesman stated. LimeWire has the software engineers, programmers and managers to provide a response. It's futile to continue hunting for fixes in the dark, though you certainly can if you wish to. I've tried every suggestion I've seen, to no avail. Let LimeWire take the ball from here. |
Some Internet websites allege that Comcast is using "Sandvine" to "manage" P2P's. Here's something from the Sandvine website: "Manage growing bandwidth demands while ensuring subscriber satisfaction." I assume, that if the allegations are true, they're all using some stellar Web "management" team or other. |
kalinai Try this I had this same problem and fixed it by:- [1] Uninstall the old version before installing the new -- delete the old LW folders from the Programs directory before installing the new version [2] Ensure that you have java script J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 (Jre ver 5) if not download from here:- Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11 * Uninstall Limewire by using LW uninstall program not the add/remove control panel start -> all Programs -> Limewire -> Uninstall Of course if you haven't got an older version of Limewire loaded just leave para [1] out and do para [2] This should fix your problem -- please let us know -- Thanx Bi 4 now |
