Maintaining Connection I use Limewire for fileshare, but I do more sharing than taking. I have many files, and I leave my comp on 24/7 for sake of sharing (I have free dial-up and unlimited access, plus a dedicated phoneline). HOWEVER... every time I walk into the comp room and check the limewire out for activity, I 'mouseover' the word 'file' in the upper left and it says I am NOT connected! I connect, and it says 'your connection is very strong' and soon I leave the room. I come back in later and it's disconnected again. How can I maintain connection, or can it be set to seek and maintain connection automatically? If it needs a babysitter, it does no good at all. My primary fileshare is Shareaza, but Limewire should provide a wider range, if it doesn't need to be watched all the time. I have also noticed the same thing. It's like it goes into hibernation, but I'm still connected. It doesn't appear to hurt my shares as I often check the moniter tab and it seems ok. It's not like the shareing stopes. Thats my observation. Check it out and let us know what you find. My Lite Blue Connection Bars become a very Dark Blue and when I click the connection tab, it's looking for hosts. While this is taking place there are a couple that have remained but then makes a full Turbo connection after I have woken it up. Just a side note: Please Edit Out your Personal Email Address, unless you are ready for what might happen. A lot of Freaks out there. :D |
