Be patient. I'm the only one on here helping right now & it's busy. We're all volunteers & it's the weekend.

I haven't used Phex much but it seems like a good app to me. To learn more about Phex, have a look here.

I don't know why some apps work for people & others don't. Did you try out the free basic LW before you bought Pro?

Guys.....I think the problem might be with Limewire.......I'm giving up and turning in..good luck to you all!

Right i can't connect to limewire at all. It says theres a firewall blocking it but i haven't got any firewalls on?? I've also deleted that limewire prefernces folder an that hasn't made any difference. I need some help please:(:(

1. OS version? Windows XP
2. What firewalls you have? Windows Firewall and Mcaffe firewall but both are disabled.
3. How much ram? dont know
4. Hard Disk space available? dont know
5. Connection type? Modem
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? dont know
7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)? House
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? 14.8.18
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? AOL
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? It worked
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? erm i've got a p2p program but thats got access as well
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. its a SAME problem with an experienced user
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? _ Yes
14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? not sure
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)?mcaffe but it isn't on anymore
16. What country are you living in? Great Britiain (UK)

I am having the same problem
 
1. OS version? Windows Vista Home premium upgrade 32 bit
2. What firewalls you have? Windows Firewall. I've made limewire an exception on it. I hadMcaffe firewall but I have uninstalled it.
3. How much ram? 2.5 gig
4. Hard Disk space available?143 gig
5. Connection type? Broadband Cable
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Motorolla surfboard Linksys wrt160n
7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)? House
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? 4.18.8
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? Comcast
