Please help a n00b out. (not connected)
 

i downloaded limewire recently and the night i downloaded it it had worked fine i even got some songs but the next day i wasn't able to search for anything and everytime i tried a message came up saying "limewire is currently connecting to the network. Your search may not return many results until you are fully connected to the network." i left it alone for a couple hours thinking it would connect but it hadn't and i'm pretty sure it isn't my firewall since i had reached the point of simply turning it off when i tried to do something. Please help i've been tearing this thing apart and i still don't know what to do. I'm sure it has something to do with the bars being red and not connecting but i don't know how i can improve or even establish a connection.T-T

Limewire Stuck On Starting Connection
 

Limewire has always worked untill recently. I used to have a turbo charged connection but now it just goes to starting connection. On the connections tab there are no connections visible. It is in the allowed list for windows firewall and it worked with my avast before so I dont think it is that.Port forwarding is set to 6346 ???what is the listen on port setting for...I am almost total newbie to all this trouble shooting as I have never had this problem before. Everything worked before reformatting now only azureus will work...HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!

2. my firewalls include AOL safety and Security and windows security center, however i disabled them and attempted to disconnect then reconnect with LW while they were off and it still didn't work.

9. i get internet service from AOL, AOL browser, MSN, and internet explorer.
10. when i clicked the link my browser immediately opened a tab and showed a page that said "Your test worked"
11. No i am not sharing my connection with other computers.
12. this is my first time with LW i just downloaded it about 2-3 days ago.
13. yes i do see a brick wall but i've turned off my firewalls when i open limewire unless that's just a waste of time and doesn't make a difference.

i hope i was able to give you enough information to help me out because this problem is truly frustrating me especially since i'm the only one out of any of my friends having any issues at all with limewire that i can't figure out myself. please help me out and thanks for trying even if you aren't able to do anything.
