Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network. (not about connecting to files, that is a Download/Upload Problems section issue.) Please supply system details as described in the forum rules.

Default Connecting to network! Might know why!

1. OS version? windows 98
2. What firewalls you have? windows
3. How much ram? ????
4. Hard Disk space available? a lot
5. Connection type? dsl
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? DSL
7. Where are you trying to connect from? house
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? 4.14 & the newest java
9. Who is your ISP bellsouth
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? it worked
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. no
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. new problem, experienced user
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? _ yes, but its just windows firewallclick here to see Sample image
14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? UPnP
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? none
16. What country are you living in? USA, Mississippi

I can't connect!! All it says is connecting to network! Someone help!

I did some research and BELLSOUTH DSL has blocked limewire, through their firewall!!! There is a way to get through it, but i'm not quite sure how! If anyone has any suggestions PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!

When i try to search for a song, it says currently connecting to the network! BUT NEVER DOES!

I have Bellsouth DSL, And i have never had any problems, until now!!!

PLESE HELP! Even if its just an idea! THANK YOU!!

Default help I paid for limewire but never got first email

Hello,

I need anyones help! I paid for limewire but I never received the 1st email I have tried to get in touch with them and they say I am already a user but when I try to connect to the members club it asks for a password which I dont know. I typed an alternative email address for them to remind me but they havent yet. I want to claim my money back but dont know how

please help thanks

You sound like you purchased you version of limewire from a scam site...Limewire doesn't have a members club and it doesn't have passwords....

You may find this thread helpful...

Unhappy I have BellSouth DSL also!!! That must be the problem

BELLSouth must be the problem. Anyone know how to get around it. I'm going to call them.

I was on the phone with them for about 20 minutes. I just hung up, as a matter of fact. They told me that BellSouth did not block limeware . He told me to go to wikipedia.org and type in limewire. I'm trying that now.
