Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network.

![]() I have had Limewire for about 10 months now with no issues all of a sudden it is showing that I am firewalled i have looked everywhere and i seem to have no firewalls other then norton which i have limewire as safe on 1. OS version? XP 2. What firewalls you have? Just Norton 3. How much ram? not sure but enough to run limewire 4. Hard Disk space available? 20 gb avail 5. Connection type? DSL 6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Actiontec 7. Where are you trying to connect from? house 8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? Just installed both new versions today 9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? Qwest 10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? It worked 11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. NO 12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. New Problem have used it for 10 months 13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? _Yes Damn it 14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? 15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? I Use Norton and Ad-aware 16. What country are you living in? Sometimes there are ISPs with the same name in more than one country (eg Clearwire in the USA & also in Ireland). Any way i know some about computers but not alot so any help would be appreciated Also I forgot to add I tried to find the .limewire folder even with hidden folders shown and it was no where to be found I have searched everywhere on these forums and nothing seems to work Last edited by bagofdonuts1980; November 12th, 2007 at 11:11 PM.
