How to remove brick & turn bars green Try this method. 1. Open Limewire program (i.e. display it). 2. Click "Start". Click "Control Panel". 3. Switch to "Classic View." 4. Click "Windows Firewall" icon. 5. Click "Exceptions." 6. Uncheck "Limewire" i.e. remove the "tick" symbol from the box at left of the Limewire entry. 7. Click "Add program". 8. Select "Limewire" program & click it. 9. This message will be displayed: "Limewire is already in the list of exceptions." Click "OK." 10. Check "Limewire" (add a "tick' back to the blank box at left. 11. Click "OK." 12. Check whether the bars have turned green & whether the brick has disappeared. This method worked for me. Please post a reply if it does work for you.Thanks. |
Please insert: Step - 9a. Click "Cancel". If this method doesn't work, please uninstall Limewire program (i.e. click "Start" & search for all Limewire files & remove them all). Then download the Limewire program again. Good luck! |
Hello ppl. I have the same problem. I have 5 red bars, the brick wall and the 'you are currently connecting to the network'. I have tried everything, updating java, deleting the limewire hidden files. Everything that it says in the 'fix limewire page'. And iv tried wot philip251912 suggested. Im at a complete loss. Suggestions would b greatly appreciated |
When you deleted the preferences folder, did you also look for a folder in the old location (folder named .limewire)? When you started LW, did it run through the setup wizard again? Have you also tried replacing the gnutella.net file, which is found within the hidden LimeWire folder? If not, there's more info here. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/connec...t-fix-try.html http://www.gnutellaforums.com/connec...tml#post296950 |

Hi.. i have the same problem.. Have you worked it out yet???? |
Add this step: 13. If the bars are still red & the brick is still there, turn off & restart your computer, open the Limewire program & see whether the problem has been fixed or not. If not, go through Steps 1 - 13 again. |
