Default Help? (delete preferences folder)

Excuse the Username, I just typed something up. . .

Anyway, I've been trying to delete the LimeWire preferences folder in the Application Data folder, as I've been told in order to fix connection probs, and the LW folder, as well as two folders called "xml" and "misc", won't delete because it is being used by LW.exe. I've removed the LW icon from the system tray by exiting it from there, of course. I can and have deleted the internal files in these folders, but I can't delete the folders themselves. I haven't done anything else than what I previously said I have done and trying repeatedly to delete the folders. I have Windows XP service pack 2, and I'm using the latest version of LW. Is there anything I'm forgetting on how to shut the program down entirely?

Open Task Manager & if there's a LW process running, end the process.

Did you also try changing your Java version?

Have a look here, it's a basic guide to deleting the preferences folder(s), plus some other stuff which you may not need to do.

Nevermind. I was able, finally, to fix my connection problem.
