Limewire starts up itself and will not stay shut down! I am having some trouble with Limewire this evening. I opened it up earlier on my XP laptop, searched for a specific file, then shut it down when I was done. I then used BitTorrent, and ever since then, Limewire has been starting up without me going near it, and it won't go away. I don't want to use it right now because it is slowing my whole system down (I am trying to use 3ds Max 9, which requires a lot of room to breathe). Every time I shut it down, it starts up again a few seconds later. It's starting to really **** me off, so much so that I'm actually considering removing it altogether. Please tell me how I can get it to sit there and shut up until I actually want to use it. I have tried looking at the options menu, but it closes itself down, strangely enough. I think Limewire wants to stay running on this machine... |
Sounds like your computer is infected. There are different fixes to try in this thread. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...s-options.html |
