More connection problems????
 

Hey guys,I am running into many of the same problems that are being posted on here.....Only one Bar(with starting connection being displayed) with newer version 4.14.....Also it shows that there is a firewall active,but I currently have NO firewall up and running????? I have read through many of the post and other "fixes" and nothing seems to be helping.....Everything worked great for 6+months,and Bam now LW will not connect.....I had this problem before with the basic edition,then upgraded,and everything worked fine.....I have done the Gnutella file changeover,deleted the .limewire,and tried almost all the other senerios,and Nothing.....I am currently on XP with Java 1.5.0_03 Any ideas??? Please Help!!!

Update your Java to the latest version. Before installing that latest update, remove any other versions of Java that you have (see thread below for a link to Java).

Have you also deleted the preferences folder within Application Data? That's the folder that's hidden by default. After you deleted the preferences folder(s), did you go through the setup wizard again when LW was started?

Have a look at this thread, even if you've tried these fixes before, just go through things again slowly.

I went back and done all of these,with no luck.....ended up having to save the 4.14 in the limewire folder,for it to download properly....Once that was complete,and installed the program,It started working...Thanks for all of your help bro!!!
