please help? (not connected)
 

I downloaded LW 2 nights ago and that night i was able to download music but when i went to use it yesterday and today it wont connect. Ive tried to change all the firewall configurations but i still cannot connect...Maybe im not doing something right? im not all that computer savy so can anyone help me??

If LW Will Not Connect

sorry im new and im pretty sure ive tried all that stuff, i looked at it earlier

I have windows XP home version, norton internet security (i checked to make sure LW was an exception..it is), @ my house, i think we have RCN? maybe? LoL i dont know to much else...

Did you have any trouble finding the preferences folder, to replace your gnutella.net file? Did you make sure that LW was properly closed before replacing gnutella.net?

When you deleted the preferences folder, did you also look for a folder (.limewire) in the old location? Was LW properly closed when deleting the preferences folder(s)? When you restarted LW, did it take you through the setup wizard again?

well i couldnt get gnutella to download..it just kept opening to a bunch of letters n symbols??

oh NvM! I looked @ the post that was talking about the glitch in gnutella and i followed the steps and it worked!
